We have a beautiful 100-site campground with 60 electrical sites and 40
primitive. The primitive sites are nestled in deciduous and conifers that
Boarder State land. Some secluded primitive and electric sites are
available. We also have a trailer on site for rent if you show up and the
weather is threatening and you want to discard your tent. We can also
accommodate larger motor homes. Hell Creek (Portage) runs thru our property
and affords awesome fishing for Pike, Bluegills, Sunfish, etc. and canoes
are available to find the deep holes.
Wildlife abounds including the ever
popular and curious squirrels, Turkey, Deer, Fox, Coyotes (nice to hear at
night) and black and white cuddly kittens…you know em as Skunks! A
horseshoe pit is on site along with a professional volleyball net. Leave a
small deposit at our new office, return the volleyballs and or horseshoes
when done and get your deposit back. Also on site are various vending
machines and an ATM machine for your convenience. We offer wood and ice for
sale also. We may, as dictated by the State of Michigan, be obliged to not
allow wood brought into the park due to the Ash Borer. This does cause some
inconvenience for our patrons but it is up to the State. Our wood is
certified and we are inspected, and so far there is no ban on bringing in
your own firewood so far, but this can and does change. Call us if you’re
concerned. We have a fine playground and video-game room for the kids.
This helps them occupy their time while you’re out communing with nature.
